The players special was a very popular traditional playing woodie racket with great control. The Super Winner has great feel with the bamboo shaft. Pictured above the the 2 very nice Spalding Open Throat wood tennis racket models These models are crafted of 6 different wood laminations including french ash, 2 center plies of boron metal fiber, and the facing is a double fiberglass epoxy fiber that protects and gives these rackets a lasting mirror like finish ! These are awesome woodie rackets that were handcrafted in Belgium and are a bargain at there 1980 price of $79 :-) Famous 3 wood tennis racket models that Bjorn Borg actually used for tournament play : Bancroft professional or personal, Donnay allwood & pro models.
