vintage table tennis set.  The instructions are inside the box cover and begin with: The net may be placed across a dining room table....  Check out the picture on the box!  The outside of the box cover only says table tennis (no indication of manufacturer, date, etc.).  There are four all-wood paddles (two have sandpaper on one side of the blade), a net (deteriorating) and two netposts and five old balls (not eight balls as pictured).  The paddles and balls are in good collectable condition!  The box is pretty beat up, has been taped and retaped to hold it together.  Looking at the Museum on the USA Table Tennis site suggests that this set is from the 1920's.
